As you may know, I’m gearing up for a month-long trip across Europe with my toddler — and like any parent, I’ve been in planning-and-prep mode for weeks. Between packing light, staying safe, and keeping little ones comfortable, there’s a lot to think about.
That’s why I wanted to share a few of the Amazon finds I’ve picked up specifically for this trip. These are my must-haves for traveling Europe with a toddler — practical, budget-friendly, and parent-approved.

Pickpockets are a real concern in Europe, especially in crowded areas like metros, markets, and tourist landmarks. I’m bringing just two bags — my Lululemon crossbody belt bag and a zippered purse — but I wanted a way to feel extra secure.
Enter these security hooks. They work like carabiners but are daintier, gold-toned, and stylish. I can loop my zipper to the strap of my purse, making it so much harder for anyone to slip it open. They come in multiple sizes, and they’re simple peace of mind when walking through busy squares or tourist sites.
Right now my son isn’t walking yet, but by the time we leave, he just might be. And in busy piazzas or squares, the thought of him darting away made me nervous.
That’s why I’m bringing along this toddler harness. Even if we don’t use it often, having it for those “just in case” moments means peace of mind. For a month-long trip, I’d rather have it and not need it than wish I’d packed it.
I wanted Apple AirTags but was shocked at the price increase — especially for something I may not use regularly after this trip. So I found these AirTag dupes.
They come in a pack of two, and I plan to pop one in my carry-on and one in my checked luggage. They sync with any Bluetooth device, giving me location peace of mind without the big price tag.
My iPhone battery has been struggling ever since I paid it off (isn’t that always the way?). I’ll probably upgrade soon, but for now, I refuse to miss capturing a moment at the Trevi Fountain just because my phone dies.
This power bank is lightweight, super cute (it has a little paw design 🐾), and perfect for charging on the go.
We already own two strollers — an umbrella and a larger UPPAbaby — but neither felt right for this trip. The umbrella stroller is too small and uncomfortable for naps, while the larger one is clunky and heavy for stairs or train stations.
So I invested in this lightweight stroller. At under $200, it won’t break my heart if it gets scuffed on the airplane. It’s just 15 pounds, folds easily, and even comes with a strap so I can carry it over my shoulder or back. Most importantly, it looks comfy enough for naps on the go — essential for long sightseeing days.
These five items may seem simple, but they’re game changers for peace of mind, safety, and comfort while traveling with a toddler.
If you’re planning your own family travels and want to shop these must-haves, you can find them all here:
